Uwe Rosler has turned up the pressure on Wanderers, claiming the club cannot afford to miss out on promotion from League One this season.
The Fleetwood Town boss takes his side to the Macron today as underdogs looking to damage the Whites’ 100-per-cent record thus far.
Rosler, who was sacked as Wigan Athletic boss after a defeat against Wanderers in November 2014, highlighted the riches still available to his opposite number Phil Parkinson despite the financial problems which have been encountered at the Macron in the last 12 months.
“I think they have to go (back) up there,” he said of Wanderers’ pursuit of promotion. “You just have to go through their squad and look what they have for players.
“They are now League One, there is a reason why they are now League One and we are League One so we are just looking forward to it.
“They are big favourites but we are going into the game with confidence, we are looking at ourselves and how we can address the game and win it.
“Every team asks you different questions.
“I expect Bolton to have a lot of game management, a lot of know-how, a lot of spirit.
“They have a lot of physicality and they are strong on set-pieces so we have to deal with that.”
In-form Fleetwood striker David Ball is also expecting a physical battle, highlighting his former team-mate Jamie Proctor as one of the danger men.
“I’m expecting them to play long to the two big men,” he said. “They have Proctor, who was here, and (Gary) Madine so I’m expecting a tough game there but we will go there full of confidence and try and upset them at their place.
“They have a lot of Championship quality players but we have got to go there and play the way we have been doing.”
