Confession time.......i went to watch Salford City today.

And i have to say........i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Stood right next to the pitch, being able to hear what the players are saying to each other, the ref giving it back to the fans, smoking and drinking at pitch side (neither of which i do btw) but it was brilliant.

The game was 3-3, there was a great atmosphere and it cost me 7 quid for me and 3 quid for my lad.

Obviously seeing Bolton win 2-0 added to all round good feeling, but anyone who has chance should definitely get down to a local non league team and experience football how it should and used to be!!!!

Good post Johnny lad.

I was glad we won today, game was ok by Bolton standards, but I wish I'd gone to Bradford to watch Chorley destroy Bradford PA 3-0.

Better atmosphere is key, at Chorley it's like it used to be at Bolton when we were on the up.

The only thing you pay for football-wise is Scott's jockstrap.

Thats exactly what it reminded me of today.  Albeit there was a lot less people at Salford than at Bolton in the early 90s but i bet it was louder today at moor lane than most parts of every modern stadium.

The thing that concerns me is they gave just released plans for a new stadium at Salford.  On the same site mind, but running down both sides of the pitch is seating only and behind the goals is terraced only.  They need to mix it up if you ask me as i like standing but not behind the goal!

I'm the opposite, I prefer to stand behind the goals, more for the atmosphere it seems to bring rather than the view which isn't always great.

That's an insult to under 7's, I bet Boggers is a terrible footballer. I think that's why he's so bitter.

Warrington Town lost 2-1 at home to Workington today. Managers Stuart Mellish & Lee Smith have now left the club. (Mutual consent)
Bit of a Jeckyll & Hyde club this season.
