It's more clunk to carry about though or use whilst the laptop is on your lap don't you think?y2johnny wrote:The external hd drive i posted is a 5tb. I have two 2tb ones filled with music

I've tried to match the Asus laptop that you have been recommended so I found this one that caught my eye earlier...
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/hp-15-ay168sa-15-6-laptop-silver-10151313-pdt.html
It has a slightly faster processor than the Asus but has 8GB or RAM whereas the Asus has 12GB. You don't need 12GB but you could upgrade the HP later on for not a lot of money when the time comes (if it ever does which I doubt it in your case). The HP also only has a 1 terabyte hard drive as apposed to 2 terabytes.
The Graphics processor is slightly better but the screen is not Full HD (1920 x 1080) The HP is 1366 x 768 which is barely noticeable on a 15 inch screen anyway but it is £100 cheaper so I recommend this over the Asus.
The HP build quality of laptops is generally good although I cannot say for Asus as I haven't had much experience with this brand laptops wise.
I wouldn't buy from Argos as if it broke down it's a pain in the arse with their customer support, I'm talking from experience.
It should last you a lot longer than laptops with a Core i3 processor for instance as these are generally sluggish and is Intel's entry level CPU range for business and basic tasks.

PC World also have another HP model that is exactly the same as above that I have recommended but with a mid range CPU which is a core i5-7200U and this model costs £399.00 here:

There is another £100 difference (so potentially a £200 saving against the Asus).
The HP @ £499 has an intel core i7-7500U and the HP @ £399 has an intel core i5-7200U.
The benchmarks on performance (higher score the better!):
Intel core i7-7500U (5370)
Intel core i5-7200U (4782)

Either laptop is sufficient for your needs whether that be watching porn, normal films, spreadsheets and letters etc, iTunes, surfing the web and games that are not graphic intensive.
The core i7 will last a bit longer performance wise.
