Switching it up a bit for my step dad for xmas.  Last year i got him a bottle of haig club whiskey and he keeps it hidden in the cupboard so no one else has any so hes still got half  bottle left.

Apparently he likes gin every so often so im after something of a similar quality to the haig club

TIA

Hendrick's is the popular one for the cognoscenti although it's expensive and doesn't get you any more pissed than Aldi's own brand.

I like Warner Edwards rhubarb gin with tonic, not cheap though, you can get it from amazon or byrnes in Clitheroe. Unfortunately the gaffer likes it as well.
Normal gin I like is bombay sapphire.

Sod gin, stick with the hard stuff.

I can recommend this lovely drop of Irish.

Cheers all.  Gonna have a look now and decide on something.  I like the idea of one that isnt available on your average supermarket shelf.

Hic! Did someone call my name?

Opihr Gin is what you want. It's my favourite.

Oriental botanicals in it which hit the spot.  Cool

I do enjoy a nice Gin and tonic every once in awhile. My favourite is Tanquery which I first sampled at a pub called the Church Green in Lymm which was run by Aiden Byrne,  a Michelin star scouser. The food and drink was pricey but very good. It's the sort of place I'd only eat at on a special occasion because I'm a bit tight when it comes to getting my hand in my pocket.
