Josh Vela and James Henry have emerged as doubts for Wanderers in their home clash with Swindon Town.
Vela is suffering with a virus, while Henry has reported a strain in his thigh – meaning Phil Parkinson could be forced into two changes from the side that drew 0-0 with Premier League Crystal Palace last time out.
“It might give someone an opportunity,” said the Wanderers boss. “We have got a few players who have not had a lot of football recently but I have said all along they will get their chance in the second half of the season.”
Brandon Ormonde-Otewill and Ellis Iandolo will not make the trip for Swindon, who will also make a late check on skipper Nathan Thompson before kick-off.
Luke Williams has no recognised left-back with James Brophy suspended but could bring in Chelsea loanee Fankaty Dabo to his back four.
Debuts are also expected for fellow new arrivals Charlie Colkett and Ben Gladwin.
