Old People Do They Still Have Sex.

When i was a small kid i used to think old people were always old, that they started out as old. Now i wonder do really old people have sex, does an old bugger look at some old bird and think i'd give that one. Look at the flaps on that reg kind of thing. I must ask one sometime.

The body may be weak but the mind is still willing. A medical report states that the human male is physically capable of enjoying sex up to and even beyond the age of 80. Not as a participant, of course...

Of all the faculties, the last to leave us is sexual desire. That means that long after wearing bifocals and hearing aids, we'll still be making love. We just won't know with whom.

I think that when men get to about 60, if they are single or widowed, they often develop something of a disdain towards women their own age and continuously seek out women 10 years younger, often with futility.

My grandmother (83) is currently in a relationship with a man (similarly aged) that moved into the flat above her last year. They enjoy regular trips together on the train to Blackpool, Cleveleys and Lytham - it's free for them to go anywhere in Lancashire, as long as they bring their pass.

Inevitably, they're the talk of the family but as soon as the topic gets round to S-E-X I shut my ears, so I can't answer your question.

I should add that he doesn't answer to the name Quent.

But if you were to guess, doffcocker, is your grandma getting rattled or not? They sound active and spritely.

I know the walls are very thin in sheltered accommodation, and Reenie next door is a big gossiper.

I don't think they'd chance it. Or should that be 'hope'?

I'm sure if they turn the telly up and the old boy keeps his 'final call' under wraps a bit, they can have a bit of hanky panky during 'Flog it!'.

Even then, that's probably over planning. Most old people spend all day riding round on the buses for free.

I desperately hope so. I really like having sex and with the assitance of Viagra and lube I hope that the missus and I will continue to have a healthy sex life until we peg it. One may cause the other I suppose. But sex is great, it's natural and takes your mind off thinking about sex. Just got back from two weeks in Crete and noticed that having lots of time on our hands, reduced work stress - sadly, I did take my laptop - and 36 degree weather all contributed to increasing our sex drive so we were bonking like bunnies the whole time. Hoping to retire to warmer climes in the next year or so!

I always thought that the stereotype of a dirty old man is really the creation of a dirty young man who wants the field to himself.
The older one grows, the more one likes indecency. Old age likes indecency. It's a sign of life, although after a man passes 60, his mischief is mainly in his head.

I base my opinion largely on my mother's experiences. My father died when he was in his early fifties, 14 years ago. My mother has been 'pursued' by perhaps 3-4 men in that time at different stages and they have all been 10 or more years older than her. Men her age seem to want women ten years younger then her. She observes this pattern across a lot of her friends.

I had a neighbour in her 70's who met a gentleman a year or two her senior and they hit it off and got it on. She was heard to comment during the torrid affair, that she "had forgotten how sweet sex was!"

So yes, old folks are doing their thing.

When my old man pegged it from this mortal coil, he was living the bachelor's life in his ground floor retirement flat. My older brother and I had to clear and go through his belongings which was quite an eye-opener believe me.We found what could only be described as a little black book. We contacted the people in it leaving messages or talking in person, informing them of when the funeral was.
The long and the short of it was, 5 very classy, almost glamorous ladies attended the service. And all of them told me with absolute sincerity what a gentleman he was. After a few gins at the wake I got the full story. He was apparently something of a master when it came to ropes and spankings!!!

Good for him. There is no pleasure worth foregoing just for an extra three years in a geriatric ward.

Why is it teenagers cringe at the thought of parents having sex, i was the same But it didn't bother me watching people of the same age in porn films, it was the opposite.

I think it's more in relation to your own parents than older people per se. When I was a teenager I wouldn't ever wish to see my parents on the job but I certainly wouldn't baulk at watching our neighbours involved in a spot of rumpy pumpy. ( Not that I ever did )

A friend of mine, she is 27, is dating a 65 year old man - and yes they have sex (I sometimes wish she wouldn't decsribe what they do! )
