Had a great night tonight listening to the greatest album ever made. Northern Soul by The Verve.
Was listening using the record player while my lad was playing fortnite with his mates. I then bounced him of to bed so i could get on my spotify (opposite end of the spectrum) to listen to an album ive not listened too for probably 10 years at least. 13 by blur. Wow. Forgot how great, funny, gut wrenching and heartbreaking this album really is.
For anyone who does still like to get CDs poundland have a top range of cds and dvds all for a pound.

Has to be Urban Hymns for me and listenineng to it really does give me euphoria.
You can’t get any better than Bitter Sweet Symphony.
I will give Northern Soul ago as I have never listened to it though. Cheers.

From best to least best (cant use worst as there are no bad verve songs)
Northern soul
A storm in heaven
Urban hymns
Forth
Northern soul is the perfect inbetween of urban hymns and a storm in heaven
A storm in heaven is very heavy pysadellic guitar where as urban hymns is a more indie rock
Give a listen to these;
Blue
History
Slide away
All in the mind
This is music (my favourite!)
Also some really cool b sides.
So sister
Lord i guess ill never know

Getting myself 3 albums queued for tonight
New Radicals - maybe youve been brainwashed too (the opening line from the first song on there makes it an instant classic, answers on a postcard!)
The Stone Roses - the stone roses (bye bye badman and shoot you down are two of the most overshadowed songs due to waterfall, i am the resurrection, fools gold and this is the one all being on there)
Manic Street Preachers - gold against the soul (to take me back to my st james days when a sony cd walkman fitted perfect in my blazer pocket )
