In my day we played on a concrete pitch, with a cannonball, and in bare feet, and still produced,in Billy 'no toes' Turpin, one of the finest wingers in our division.
Soft bastards.
Soft bastards.

I'd hazard a guess we weren't a League 1 club when we had it installed.

TBF it was effing freezing in the East last night even at 7 o'clock when I played 5 a side on 4G (which is supposed to be all weather) and one of the lads went crashing into a post. Definitely an injury risk which is something we could do without with our limited squad. We'll play them soon enough.

Sheff U 2 Gills 2 which puts Scunny back in the box seat if they win their game in hand and us just 2 points behind them if we win ours.

As you can see, I may have lost a yard or two of pace but my positional sense is perfect as ever.Natasha Whittam wrote:wanderlust wrote:TBF it was effing freezing in the East last night even at 7 o'clock when I played 5 a side.

Not seen one.
I wonder if both clubs have a scheduled match on the weekend of the next round of the cup - if not, then would be a good time to hold it as I can't think either club would really want to play it mid-week sometime.
