The wife has been bangin on about it since the summer so i have arranged to adopt a 5 month old cat from the streets of Bulgaria. Picking it up from Cobham Surrey tommorow, poor little buggers been in transport for days, got to meet at a service area on the M25 at 10 am should do it and be back before she gets up hopefully. Breakfast in bed and a bulgarian moggy, think she will be pleased. Was thinking of calling it Dexter.

Bulgarian Moggy eh? Meeting on the M25? Be carefull. If it's over five feet tall and looks like a bloke, it's probably a bloke from Bulgaria, unless it's a Womble. Oh and it won't miaow, it'll мяукам.

I hope you don't import any diseases with it.

What's wrong with adopting an English cat?

As Rammy says, why are you getting a cat from Bulgaria when the UK shelters are full of British cats?
If people stopped getting pets from abroad and from breeders our animal shelters wouldn't be needed.

Because I already checked out Battersea and a few others in this area and there is a shortage of available cats to rescue they go quick. In Bulgaria they just throw kittens out in the street ,I got to know a woman who runs (world Animal Rescue) they arrange everything cat or dog gets quarantined until passes Health tests has all jabs gets chipped and has its own passport. They drive them to England in a Mercedes Sprinter from Bulgaria then on a ferry to here, the guy was Bulgarian he'd been to Leeds then South Mimms then Cobham Surrey for me and one other then he went on to Bristol before getting the ferry back all in one day. I think they do a fantastic job.
