Wanderers bosses have met up with council chiefs to discuss the club's finances.
Chairman Ken Anderson said he and colleague Paul Aldridge had met with council leader Cliff Morris and Chief Executive Margaret Asquith.
He said in a statement on the club’s website that they had met to discuss the level of rates the club was currently paying.
Mr Anderson said the meeting with the council had been helpful.
He said: “The council are being very supportive and hopefully a solution will be achieved, which would go a long way to helping us achieve a financially sustainable base.”
