I hope the fuckers go down now. No future manager at that club will ever achieve what he did.

Jamie Vardy seemed to lose his magic and the whole team imploded after last term's success. Still, that's show business! You rarely get a second chance. Let's see how they fare in the Championship next term

I was actually only reading some stats on Vardy a week or so ago and surprising as it may seem his performance was better than it was last year.
Their problem was basically that in losing Kante to Chelsea both their defence and attack suffered because he covered so much ground and won so much ball.
I guess in some way the same happened to us when we lost Stuart Holden.

He took Leicester to the title, fooking Leicester!!

That included draws AWAY at Man United and Chelsea.
All Ranieri did was not f*** up what was already the best team in the Premiership points-wise (thanks to Nigel Pearson). After all, Ranieri didn't have to do anything so he didn't. He inherited the best team and had zero pressure or expectation on him so he didn't change Pearson's team or tactics.
But now he has f***ed it up and should bear the consequences if they get relegated.
As if to prove my point (not that it was ever in doubt ) the Times are running an inside story that says Ranieri was "pushed out by the players". According to Henry Winter who usually is spot on:
"Claudio Ranieri was sacked by Leicester City last night after a breakdown in his relationship with the players........just hours after senior players had expressed their concerns in a meeting with Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the club owner"
Just goes to show how the media control the images of people in the spotlight - and how gullible audiences (Nat) believe and regurgitate everything they say. Pearson had no chance because he wasn't prepared to play their game or say dildo dong in an amusing Italian pastiche.

You really are a patronising gobshite.
This morning Craig Shakespeare has said this is a load of bollocks. Who should we believe, a journalist trying to sell newspapers or someone within the club with no reason to tell the truth.
Are you going to apologise for your self congratulating post?

Fond as I am of the bard, I'd rather believe the journalist in this instance - he hasn't got the club's image to try to salvage unlike Craig Shakespeare.
Winter is selling 1 edition that will be chip paper tomorrow.
The fact that the Leicester players credited Pearson for the title win, didn't rate Ranieri's questionable man-management skills (see patronising post above) and finally got rid of him by grassing him up to the owner will live on forever regardless of how much the likes of CS try to shut the stable door.

To credit Pearson for the title win is absurd.

I think Pearson's signings, team building and motivational contribution was fundamental to their success but my opinion is irrelevant Bonce. The point is that the players thought it and it was Ranieri's job to manage and motivate the players - hence my earlier comments.

it's true that Leicester went on a good run at the end of the season before they won the title but they had to or they would have been relegated. Who bought Kante? Was it Ranieri? If so then he deserves all the plaudits for that one decision alone as without him they aren't the same team.

From Mahrez?boltonbonce wrote:Not having it. No.
Why not? He's the guy Ranieri is supposed to be managing and motivating and he has worked for Pearson so surely he's in the best position to determine who should be credited with what. Ditto Vardy - another Pearson signing.

I've no problem with Pearson taking a deal of credit for keeping them up,but you appear to be suggesting they would have become champions under his leadership.
I suppose it might have been possible, but I can't agree.
I rarely listen to the musings of players, being fairly confident that,as per usual, they're talking complete, self serving bollocks.

They could well have been champs under the much-maligned "say it as it is" Pearson but we'll never know so that's not really the point.boltonbonce wrote:I've no problem with Pearson taking a deal of credit for keeping them up,but you appear to be suggesting they would have become champions under his leadership.

The point is that I don't believe that Ranieri exhibited good man-management and motivational skills and the fact that his own players credited Pearson and tried (and eventually succeeded) in getting rid of Ranieri proves my assertion.

It proves they're a bunch of soft ponces who can't face up to their own failures,so pass them on to someone else.

Quite possibly true but the fact that they rounded on their own manager speaks volumes.boltonbonce wrote:It proves they're a bunch of soft ponces who can't face up to their own failures,so pass them on to someone else.

It was Ranieri who picked Kante up for around £5 million, but what does he deserve for the decision to sell him when he was one year into a 4 year contract and Leicester had plenty of money to improve his deal?Norpig wrote:it's true that Leicester went on a good run at the end of the season before they won the title but they had to or they would have been relegated. Kante was one of four Leicester players in the "team of the season" - the other three (Vardy, Drinkwater and Mahrez) were all signed by Pearson. As were the rest of the title-winning team.

I think Gary Lineker is right, a part of football has died with this sacking.
You win the title, the fooking title, with a small club like Leicester - bring in millions in revenue and still you're not worthy of getting a full season. I hope they end up with Pardew, a proven failure who has won NOTHING.
I hope Leicester don't get another point, the twats.
