I wouldn't dare.Chairmanda wrote:Boncey, whilst I enjoyed looking at your collage of cartoon characters and current politicians, don't even think it!

Chairmanda wrote:Thanks for the good luck wishes. I know I haven't been as active on here recently as I was, will still have a read, but will possibly not post so much over next few weeks, after Sunday (or playoffs...no no, don't think that way). I think I've said before, although I disagree with the views of some on here, I reckon the standard of debate is really high, and I totally enjoy listening to opposing viewpoints well argued. Press release about to go, it's kinda out there anyway, I am standing in North East Somerset, a donut constituency surrounding Bath, current incumbent the Hon Jacob Rees Mogg. I passionately want to win, and at the end of the campaign, will want to be certain I and the team I have assembled gave it our best shot.

Does anybody know if kev walsh is a candidate or councillor for lib dems in bolton?
boltonbonce wrote:Wasn't that last year Sluffy? The article says the election is on Thursday May 5th.
boltonbonce wrote:No worries Sluffy. Sounds like BA attracted as many barmpots as Nuts.
Not my mate sluffy. In fact ive just been reading some of his comments on the bolton news on (may have been Facebook) and the guy is a bit of a prick to be honest. Doesnt do the lib dems any favours at all. When manda is lib dem leader next year though she will sort them outSluffy wrote:Right I think I've got the proper answer this time.
Tomorrow's elections are mainly for County Councils.
In county's local government is split into two halves, district councils deal with issues such as planning and housing, county's deal with stuff like education and highways.
Some large urban areas combine both functions - Bolton is one such authority.
So there will be elections in Bolton tomorrow but not for your local councillor like Morris or those who want to become one such as Johnny's mate and Amos - but to become the first Mayor of Greater Manchester (a bit like how Boris was for a time the Mayor of London).
So with that in mind I checked back to see who are the sitting councillors for Harper Green and Johnny's mate isn't one of them.
So bar him standing and winning a by-election in the last 12 months I would think the answer to his question is - no he isn't standing or an existing councillor.
Hope that helps.
