Will be interesting to see how many of these name s feature next season. TBH I have only heard of a couple of them and have no idea of their age other than being under 20 (presumably). Anyone have any insight into how close they are to regularly playing in their club's first teams?
England U20: Woodman (Newcastle), Clarke-Salter (Chelsea), Tomori (Chelsea), Walker-Peters (Tottenham), Kenny (Everton), Cook (Bournemouth), Calvert-Lewin (Everton), Onomah (Tottenham), Solanke (Chelsea, joining Liverpool on 1 July), Lookman (Everton), Dowell (Everton).
Substitutes: Henderson (Manchester United), Southwood (Reading), Connolly (Everton), Maitland-Niles (Arsenal), Armstrong (Newcastle), Konsa (Charlton), Fry (Middlesbrough), Chapman (Middlesbrough), Ojo (Liverpool), Ejaria (Liverpool).

Whilst it's easy to write this off as insignificant - and it may turn out to be - we have to bear in mind that every u20 England team in the past including the so-called"golden generation" has failed to achieve what these kids have achieved.
We should enjoy it whilst we can.

Yesterday the England U19s beat the Czech Republic to claim a place in the U19s European final against Portugal.
With the U20s winning the World Cup, the U17s getting to the European final and the U21's getting to the European semi final (before losing to Germany on penalties!) these are the best results any England youth set up has had for donkey's years.
Whether or not their success is likely to be replicated by the senior team any time soon is another story but at least the youth players are showing promise.
Finally a cause for optimism in the England camp.

Most of them will never be heard of again. There's little place in the Premier League for young English players.

And therein lies the problem.
