A few things may have slipped peoples attention this weekend.....

England dumped the Aussies out of the ICC Trophy.
England beat Argentina with a last minute wonder try in the first test.
England came back in the 92nd minute after two free-kicks had looked to give Scotland a victory and Hampden park.
The British lions won there third game of the tour.
Hamilton equalled Ayrton Senna's Formula one pole position record.
Andy Murray made it to the semi-finals of the French open.

and all this on a weekend when nuts broke the record for the most political posts in a 24hr period.....

Have we all fallen out of love with our national teams and international sports stars?

How come you didn't mention England winning the World Cup?

Mainly because it's the one bit of sport I didn't see much of, 11am kick off I was out horse riding with the youngest. I saw that the young lad from Everton got the winner.

Everton's U23 team gave us a good game in the checker trade trophy beating a strong Bolton side, and they have some good young players, be interesting to see how many make the step up.
