WANDERERS are taking another look at former Portugal international Yannick Djalo.
The former Sporting Lisbon and Benfica man has trained before at Lostock this summer but was forced to end his trial after damaging his elbow.
Djalo, aged 31, has played in several countries, including Russia, the US and Thailand but is due to return to train with the Whites at some stage this week.
Wanderers have passed, however, on the chance to sign Mali international Chieck Diabate.
The 29-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Metz from Turkish club Osmanispor, was on trial last week but has now moved on.
Wanderers have also been linked with former Brazil international Julio Baptista – but a move for the 35-year-old looks unlikely.
Baptista left US club Orlando SC at the end of last year and is looking for another club. He is well-known to Whites chairman Ken Anderson and his son Lee but chances of a deal are slim.
