Wanderers’ youngsters suffered defeat at the hands of Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday afternoon.
Both teams started well, attacking straight from the kick-off and as a result, the first ten minutes were end-to-end with both teams missing chances.
After 11 minutes however, Cameron Moore gave the Whites the lead when slotting home from ten yards. The Whites then missed chances to increase their lead as Luca Navarro and Ronan Darcy both went close, with QPR then going on to equalise after 20 minutes.
The game was then wide open, with both teams guilty of missed opportunities, while the visitors then scored from a deflected shot and lead 2-1 at half time.
In the second half, QPR had the better of the opening stages and as a result, scored two quick-fire goals. Wanderers then regathered as a team, but couldn't break down Rangers’ defence and were on the losing side come full time.
Wanderers: Aspinall, Preston, Barnes, Smith, Moulden, Boon, Politic, Fearnley, Moore, Darcy, Navarro
Substitutes: Brown, Sterling, Senior
