Wanderers' Under-18s played out an entertaining eight goal thriller with their Birmingham City counterparts on Saturday morning.
Bolton got off to a poor start in the clash and conceded after only four minutes as the Blues broke from a Wanderers corner and struck from outside the area.
Nicky Spooner's side were soon level however as they equalised from the penalty spot after Dennis Politic was brought down inside the box.
His attempt was saved by the keeper, but the forward reacted first and scored from the rebound.
The Whites then proceeded to outplay their opponents and got on top in the game, eventually taking the lead Politic who cut in from the right and scored from outside the area with a left foot strike.
Wanderers then went further in front with Jordan Boon heading home Luca Navarro' s corner, but proceeded to concede two quick goals from set plays before the half time whistle.
In the second half meanwhile, the home side were impressive on the attack with Politic, Navarro and Matty Fearnley all going close.
And on 70 minutes, Politic completed his hat-trick when cutting in from the left this time and scoring with his right foot, bending the ball in the top corner from outside the area.
Birmingham again equalised however and despite Bolton pushing forward for the winner with Politic coming close, the spoils were shared come full time.
Bolton: Aspinall, Moulden, Preston, Jones-Griffiths, Broughton, Boon, Politic, Connell, Moore, Fearnley, Navarro
Subs: Darcy, Broome, Barnes, Smith, Sterling
