Wanderers star David Wheater has urged the club’s supporters to turn up in force when the Whites take on Sheffield Wednesday at Macron Stadium this Saturday.
The game against Wednesday marks the first of a Sky Bet Championship double-header at Macron Stadium with QPR travelling north next Saturday.
And with 4,800 fans expected to travel over from South Yorkshire at the weekend, the long-serving Wanderers defender is hoping as many Wanderers fans as possible come to the stadium to show their backing.
Wheater said: “Our fans have shown us great support this season and we as players owe it to them to put in a performance to try and get a result.
“There is going to be a big crowd on Saturday and we want to make sure that all the Bolton fans go home happy.
“It would be great to see lots of our fans in there and help us get the points. With another home game coming up next week, it gives us an opportunity to build on what we hope will be a positive result.”
