Bolton fail in Rodrigo bid

Bolton chairman Phil Gartside says the club have come up short in their efforts to bring former loan star Rodrigo back to the Reebok Stadium.

"I have tried everything to push through a deal for Rodrigo but the president of Benfica says he is not for sale at any price," Gartside told O Jogo

Rodrigo was crap, he did nothing to deserve a big money transfer.

This has convinced me the club is being run by fools.

I think the emphasis is on was. Apparently he has scored 5 goals in 4 starts for Benfica in the league and scored in the Champions League.

But this is all academic. If he's good Benfica wouldn't sell him at a price we could afford and why would he want to come back here?
