Well not quite yet but in 2020!
Vincent kennedy McMahon, owner and CEO of WWE sold 100 million dollars worth of shares in wwe to set up a company called alpha entertainment which was looking for professional sports oppotunities. This company then went on to purchase certain image rights of XFL and he finally announced this evening it would be coming back to a very mixed reaction.
Last time out it only lasted one season. Was very rushed and not very well thought out. Relying heavily on its association with WWE.
This time round they have already been working behind the scenes for around 12 months plus, and have another 2 years until launch.
There will be 8 non franchised teams.
