ZACH Clough has made an emotional return to Wanderers exactly a year after being sold to Nottingham Forest.
The 22-year-old academy graduate has signed on loan for the rest of the season having spent 12 months at the City Ground.
He joins Forest team-mate Tyler Walker in a new-look Wanderers attack, now without target man Gary Madine, who completed his move to Cardiff City earlier today.
Clough started with Bolton’s academy at the age of eight and was a prolific goalscorer in the youth ranks. He scored against local rivals Wigan Athletic on his debut and went on to claim 22 goals in 68 appearances.
He goes straight into the squad to face Bristol City – the side he turned down in the summer window of 2016 – on Friday.
