How Ridiculous

Probably nobody on this site will care but this seems like the most ridiculous thing to protest about. It makes no difference to anybody in Greece what name another country calls itself.

They're still moaning about their marbles. You don't hear me going on about my conkers. (I know you have them Mr Jubb,so don't come it)

The UN insisted it call itself The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and I think the EU recognise it as such as do NATO and the UN though it isn't yet a member of NATO and has applied for membership of the EU who may just not like "Macedonia" also. Though it has been an entity for yonks.

Whenever anything goes wrong in mainland Greece and the islands, they always blame the Macedonians. A lot of Macedonians work in Greek hotels on low wages during the holiday periods.

The Greeks are not renowned for their integrity, hence the old saying, 'beware of Greeks bearing gifts'. (We'll leave wooden horses and Troy out of this) (no reference to T.R.O.Y.)

They've been a bit tetchy since Alexander the Great - a Macedonian - conquered Greece.
