As Fab as retired and im sure everyone wishes him well in any future ventures he gets involved in.Hope to see him at the Reebok and hope he lives a long and happy life.He would have been insured and will get a substantial payment that would have covered his earning potential as a footballer. How much i dont know but im sure he will never have to work again. This leads me to the point that surely the Club insure their players against injurys that may finish their careers. As Fab was only 24 and we paid £5 million for him surely the club would have had him insured.I might be whistling dixie on this point but i dont think so.Anyone got any information that could put me in the picture would be appreciated.Cheers.

The only insurance I guess we are entitled to, is to pay the remaining contract owed..? It's all guess work, but I can't see us getting the transfer fee back... He's been here a while, so assuming he could have walked on a Bosman years ago, we've technically had what we paid for..
Say we'd spent £10m in the summer & he quit weeks in, I'd suggest the premium would be different.
All guess work, but that's my theory for what its worth..

Fab is insured and he's due a big pay out. He's also invested his money well.
We won't be receiving an insurance payout.
