Maybe update the original post Sluffy, so that all the Pre-season games are at the top of the thread.

A local game for me.  We've played them a few times for pre season friendlies but we don't ever send the first team out so never bother attending.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I fecking hate these games as they're  opportunities for players to get injured. Remember Chungy against Newport a few yeas ago- we lost him for a season because of a tackle in one of these so called 'friendlies'

Wanderers confirm Peterborough United friendly

Bolton Wanderers Football Club will travel to Peterborough United for their latest confirmed pre-season friendly next month.

Phil Parkinson’s men will face the Sky Bet League One side at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday 28 July at 3pm, a week before the start of the 2018/19 Sky Bet Championship season.

The Whites famously won 3-0 to secure automatic promotion back to the second tier the last time the two sides met on the final day of the 2016/17 season, while the game also sees goalkeeper Ben Alnwick face his former club.

Loving Iles' comment at the end of the Posh game report:

"Full time. Job done. Bring on West Brom."

I wish I shared Marc's optimism. West Brom away is NOT the match I'd have picked for the first game of the season really. I'd have preferred a home game against someone who doesn't have a nearly prem level squad and the added comfort of the enormous parachute payments to attract new personnel.
