WANDERERS are taking a look at ex-Nottingham Forest and Liverpool defender Jack Hobbs.
The 29-year-old centre-half was released at the City Ground in the summer and has been training with Phil Parkinson.
Hobbs is set to be on the bench at Halifax Town tomorrow as Wanderers play their first friendly of the summer.
With over 300 career appearances under his belt, the defender is looking to make up for lost time after being sidelined for most of last season at Forest with back problems.
Signed by Billy Davies from Hull City for £1.35million in January 2014, he played 86 times for the Reds and was given some game time at the end of last season by Aitor Karanka to try and earn another deal.
Speaking in April, Hobbs said: “I just want to play football now. Clubs will look at my injury record recently, but I feel I still have a lot to give.
“Before I joined Forest I was playing 40 games a season at Leicester and Hull, and I never really had a bad injury until I came to Forest.”
