Not missing much. The Corgi register was replaced by gas Safe about 10 years ago.luckyPeterpiper wrote:Miffed that I can't be at the game today. Unfortunately Wendy's at work and we're getting a new oven delivered but there's no clear time (between 12pm and 5pm is the best they could do.) Since it's a gas oven it has to be fitted by someone who's registered as 'Gas Safe' (I always thought it was Corgi registered but apparently not) which means they can't just stick it in the garage for me while I go to the match. Yeah, I know how whiny I sound and I don't care. I wanted to go to the match but mummy said no!

I think the Yorkshire commentator summed it up towards the end when he said we looked like a team that had run out of ideas and had given up.
Wildschut gave them something to think about when he came on but worryingly, Norwich got battered and having paid something like £4 million for him may decide to recall him as per the clause in the loan agreement. Oztumer tried hard too without much end product.
There doesn't appear to be a plan B but I appreciate how difficult it is when we give away such sloppy goals after defending so well in earlier games - but the marking was appalling today although Sheff U deserve credit for their work rate and determination to find space.
Even QPR managed to get a win today and that may be down to them loaning two decent strikers.
Forestieri came on for Sheff W so that doesn't really support Boggers assertion that he'll be coming to us but you never know. Either way we need more ideas and more creativity as well as getting that defence back on track so there's a helluva lot of work to be done.

Report: Bolton Wanderers 0-3 Sheffield United
Bolton Wanderers suffered their first Sky Bet Championship defeat of the season today, losing to Sheffield United 3-0 at the University of Bolton Stadium.
PRE-MATCH
Prior to kick off, Phil Parkinson made four changes to the team that started against Birmingham City.
Jonathan Grounds and Josh Vela came in for Andrew Taylor and Erhun Oztumer, with Luke Murphy and Will Buckley replacing Gary O’Neil and Craig Noone.
FIRST HALF
Wanderers were immediately put under pressure from Sheffield United, with an Oliver Norwood corner played expertly into Chris Basham who teed it up for midfielder partner Josh Fleck.
The Scotsman took a shot from close range, but Ben Alnwick was equal to it with a magnificent diving save to deflect it onto the crossbar.
Within five minutes, the Blades had the lead as a composed Mark Duffy placed the ball into the bottom right corner to give the opponents the early advantage.
There were shouts of a penalty for the Whites, as Will Buckley was seemingly impeded in the United penalty area, but referee Andrew Madley waved off the protests.
Leon Clarke played a pinpoint ball through the Wanderers defensive line, but Pawel Olkowski made a great sliding tackle to avert any danger.
Just before the 20-minute mark, Chris Basham nearly doubled the Blades’ total, with a snapshot from 16 yards flying past Ben Alnwick post.
Chris Wilder’s men had their second soon after, with Kieron Freeman’s cross beating all Wanderers’ bodies in the box due to a Leon Clarke dummy, which saw the ball trickle into the back of the net.
32 minutes in and Fleck was causing the Wanderers defence some danger, running through the centre of the pitch and nearly chipping Alnwick but the ball flew over the bar.
With time ticking down in the first half, Wanderers nearly had a goal back through skipper David Wheater.
A Josh Vela corner found the towering centre back on the volley, but his effort was blocked by Leon Clarke on the line.
SECOND HALF
After the restart, it was Blades second half substitute David McGoldrick who created the first chance.
The Republic of Ireland international unleashed a volley from distance, but Alnwick produced another superb save diving backwards to tip it over.
With just over 20 minutes to go in the game, Wanderers went close through Northern Irish international Josh Magennis.
Substitute Yanic Widlschut found himself in space on the left flank, who then delivered a cross into Magennis who headed goalward but couldn’t quite hit the target.
The Blades had their third on 73 minutes, with full back Enda Stevens delivering a low driven cross to the front post, where Fleck flicked the ball under Alnwick.
Sammy Ameobi had a chance late on for Phil Parkinson’s men, but his effort from the edge of the area was fractionally off target.
FULL TIME
Wanderers XI: Alnwick, Lowe, Beevers, Vela, Ameobi, Buckley (Wildschut 61), Murphy (Oztumer 61), Olkowski, Magennis (Donaldson 81), Grounds, Wheater (C)
Unused substitutes: Matthew, Taylor, Wilson, Williams,

I think we all knew that the first four results were not a true picture of our future.
At least we have 10 points to build on.

Fuck me, that was utter shite. Sheffied Utd were very good, but boy did we hand them the 3 points.
What the fuck was Parky thinking of with that team selection? For fuck's sake man, we were 4 games unbeaten with the same back four, so why the fuck would you drop Taylor?
In fact, why drop anyone? I counted 5 changes, five fucking changes after going four games unbeaten. And why revert to the defensive shite that gave us so few results last season? It was Sheffield Utd at home, not Real Madrid.
No doubt Parky will spout some shite about rotation to keep everyone from burning out (after 5 games!), but you keep a winning side together as much as you can, especially the defence that had done so well.
And what the fuck was going on down our left side? Grounds looked every bit as shite as the Birmingham fans told us, but fucking Buckley didn't help at all, the useless tugboat. Sheffield Utd carved us open down our left at their will. Absolutely shocking that Taylor was dropped, but we all know Parky won't be admitting his mistake.
And the midfield. Although calling them a "midfield" is an insult to midfielders. Fucking Murphy is dogshit, he should have been pulled off at half-time, the opposition went through him like butter. They wouldn't have had so much fun had we kept hold of Karl Henry instead of signing this massive tugboat.
Oh, and Josh Vela. I'm sick of hearing how he has massive potential. Potential for what? Never getting near the ball? Contributing absolutely fuck all?
I could go on, they were all shit. Ameobi did fuck all, Magennis looked every bit the league 1 player he probably is, and Wheater & Beevers looked like they were still on holiday.
Tugboats, the fucking lot of 'em.

Nat, let’s not get carried away now.
We were due a defeat, I think it’s obvious that the hard fought win in midweek took its toll today. The things being spouted about Murphy and Magennis now are a complete 180 to what we were saying an hour before the game.
We’ll beat Preston and I’ll pop round to the penthouse to celebrate

Well that was painful and a massive reality check. I have to agree with Nat's post. Grounds is not as good as Taylor and Murphy and Buckley were very poor. Sheffield Utd were excellent and passed it around well but we couldn't string 3 passes together all game and resorted to hoofing again. As for the first 2 goals, the defending was shocking.
