Wanderers take on Swansea City at the University of Bolton Stadium this coming Saturday afternoon in the Sky Bet Championship.

With that being said, bwfc.co.uk takes a look at players who have played for both sides.

Darren Pratley

The tough tackling midfielder joined the Swans in 2006, moving from Fulham for a reported £100,000.

He became a fan favourite early on at the club, scoring a brace against arch-rivals Cardiff City to seal victory in the Welsh derby.

In his 191 competitive appearances for the club, Pratley scored from the halfway line in the semi-final second leg against Nottingham Forest, before gaining promotion to the Premier League against Reading in the final.

The following summer, Pratley signed a four-year deal for Wanderers on a free transfer.

He scored his first goal for the Whites against Swansea City in the FA Cup in January 2012.

Pratley became club captain in 2015, replacing Matt Mills who left for Nottingham Forest.

Despite battling with injury, he played a part in the club’s 2017/18 Sky Bet League One promotion.

He now plays for Charlton Athletic, after moving to the Addicks last summer.

David Ngog

Following spells at Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, the former French youth international joined the Whites in August 2011.

Ngog made 91 appearances in his three-year stay in BL6, before joining Swansea City for an undisclosed fee in January 2014.

He made his debut for the club against West Ham United, replacing Nathan Dyer in a 2-0 defeat.

Currently, the forward plies the trade in the Hungarian Premier League, for Budapest Honved.

Stephen Dobbie

Swansea City acquired the forward from Queen of the South back in May 2009.

Like fellow former Whites player Darren Pratley, he scored against Nottingham Forest in the Football League Championship play-off semi-final second leg.

However, the Scotsman went one further, by scoring the third of four goals in the Final against Reading, to secure the Swans promotion to the Premier League.

Moving forward in time to August 2015, Dobbie joined Wanderers on a one-year deal.

In his single season under Neil Lennon, and made 25 appearances for the club with 22 coming from the substitutes bench.

Jamie Proctor

Proctor joined the Welsh club on a permanent basis from Preston North End and spent a single season at the Swans.

During that time, a loan spell to Shrewsbury Town occurred in October 2012 for one month.

The former Fleetwood Town man joined Wanderers from Bradford City in July 2016.

In his one season in BL6, the forward made 26 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal on his debut against Blackpool in the EFL Cup.

In present day, Dobbie is back at Queen of the South where he has scored 25 goals in 20 goals this season for the club.

Sam Ricketts

The former Welsh international spent two years with Swansea from 2004 to 2006.

It was a time in Ricketts’ career where awards flooded in, as he won the promotion to Sky Bet League One in 2004/05, earning a spot in the Team of the Year the same season.

As well as this, Swansea won the Football League Trophy in 2005/06, with Ricketts playing a pivotal part in the squad’s success.

Following on from this, a spell at Hull City occurred before linking up with Bolton Wanderers in July 2009 for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year deal.

Spending the majority of his time in the Premier League with the Trotters, the right back was a constant fixture in the first team.

Ricketts has now turned to management, currently in charge of Conference Premier side Wrexham.
