Andy Taylor has warned Wanderers to be on guard against familiar foes Millwall at The Den.
The two sides start this afternoon’s game on level points in the Championship, adding some extra pressure on Phil Parkinson’s side as they look to emerge from their slump.
Taylor is well-versed in Millwall ways and has only been on the losing side against the Lions once in 10 games throughout his career.
“They are a better football team that people give them credit for,” he said. “They are physical, direct and in your face and the crowd certainly help them. It will be a tough test for us.
“But it’s one we’ve experienced over the last couple of years now, in League One and last season, so we know what to expect.
“The fact we are both down there adds a little bit – but there hasn’t been much talk about that between the lads. We’re looking at it as the next team in front of us. Maybe the outside, the public, might look at it as a six-pointer but it’s not something we’ve really focussed on.”
Wanderers have taken just one point from their last seven matches, sinking into the bottom three before the international break.
“It’s never nice to go on a run of not winning games,” Taylor said. “Everyone involved, players, coaches and staff are eager to get it put to bed, get back to winning and picking up results.”
