Top and bottom and to cut a very long story short is both parties agreeing on a severe lack of evidence, one hoping to be granted more time, the other hoping for it to be thrown out as a result. Go figure. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Bassini’s claim of approval based on a thread of text messages with the EFL, substantiality obviously being questioned, Bassini & co desperate to prove otherwise, Anderson’s representative keen to call it a day. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

We have heard both sides of the argument.
Submissions have been made by Laurence Bassini's legal representatives. There is a dispute about whether the injunction actually prevents the sale of Burnden Leisure Limited.
The defendants [Anderson] have put forward statements from EFL lawyer, Nick Craig, Paul Aldridge and Sir Dave Richards, among others.
The injunction prevented anything which would affects the value of shares in BLL. There has been deep argument between the two counsels about whether the continuation of an injunction precludes that.
There seems an argument on whether Bassini actually had approval from the EFL.
He says ex EFL chief executive Shaun Harvey gave it.
It is claimed by the defendants that no approval was granted, although we do not know the specifics of Nick Craig's statement.
The defendants say they have a document from EFL lawyer Nick Craig that confirms Bassini did not provide sufficient proof of funds or pass the fit and proper test.
As I mentioned earlier, that is disputed by Bassini's counsel. And there has been mention of a text exchange with Shaun Harvey.

Standout moment was administration threat depended on whether Bassini was willing to transfer Anderson £5,000,000 there and then, to which he replied ‘f off or I’ll report you’ [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

To clarify. Appleton not in court. Has previously insisted as referenced in court, that the injunction itself would not impact the sale. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Pro’s and con’s of each outcome well evaluated, mentioned most was an adjournment, there was some mention of the validity of continuing the injunction and little to no mention of granting it, read that as you wish. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

A continuation of it therefore, by logic has meant the judge would presume an adjournment would not cause any further issues [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

A constant re-iteration from Anderson’s rep ‘what is the point of this injunction’ given that the claimant (Bassini), according to said rep, doesn’t have the required evidence to warrant the execution of said injunction. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Just doesn’t like the representatives calling each of them Bassini & Anderson, in it’s simplest terms. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Bassini pulled up for his expressive disagreement with a number of Anderson’s representative’s points, insisting his opinions are ‘strong enough without gestures’. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
