October has not been very kind to me so far.

After a CT scan, three days in Blackpool Victoria for a colonoscopy, plus another CT scan last week, I have been diagnosed with bowel cancer.

I'm home now but I am waiting for a phone call for a clinic appointment with my doctor , after a meeting of the Multidisciplinary team to come up with the battle plan.  This came out of the blue after my two yearly poo-sticks test.   Shit happens!!!

Now we've lost 1-3 to Rochdale.

In an attempt to make it sound a little better, I believe bowel cancer is one of the 'better' ones to have, in that the remission rate is just about the best of all of them. Good luck mate.

I can only echo Glos. Makes moaning about football and Brexit seem a little trite.

A good friend of mine beat the same cancer. You can too.

I've been a paraplegic since I was 18 which complicates things, but I just want to get on with the treatment now.

Be positive, and talk to anyone and everyone about it. You'll find it helps, (it did for me).
