Wanderers’ fixture backlog has increased further with Blackpool progressing to the third round the FA Cup.
Their 3-1 victory over Maidstone United in round two yesterday means their game with Bolton scheduled for January 4 at Bloomfield Road will have to be postponed.
It takes the number of ‘floating’ League One fixtures for Keith Hill’s side to four, the Whites still having to fit in the controversial visit of Doncaster Rovers and the postponed matches against Lincoln City and Burton Albion.
Wanderers were without a game on Saturday despite attempts to play their Leasing.com Trophy match at Accrington or the Lincoln game.
The Stanley cup game is now being played on Tuesday, December 10 with Hill’s men next in action at home to AFC Wimbledon in League One on Saturday, December 7.
