Wimbledon boss Glyn Hodges questioned whether officials should have added on extra time after watching his side pegged back in the 95th minute against Wanderers.

Fourth official Ian Smedley indicated there would be a minimum four minutes of added time at the UniBol, with the Dons still 2-1 to the good.

But referee Marc Edwards added on at least a minute of extra stoppages, during which time Joe Dodoo headed an equaliser to earn Keith Hill’s side a point.

“Bolton are a decent side, have some experience and asked questions second half,” said Wimbledon boss Hodges after the game. “But to equalise after the game had finished was disappointing. I thought the four minutes were up and they scored on four minutes 30.

“However, we had chances to clear the ball so we are disappointed.

“Perhaps we are clutching at straws hoping the whistle is going to blow.

“We weren’t as efficient in the last couple of minutes as we should have been.”

Brentford loanee Marcus Forss scored twice to twice give Wimbledon the lead, taking his tally to 10 goals in total for the season.

“He is sharp and had his shooting boots back on again,” Hodges said.

“He has the smile back on his face and his confidence is back up again.

“He scores all sorts of goals as well. He is hungry and wants to sniff goals out.

“He is one of the best finishers I have ever seen.”
