THE LAST TIME...
WANDERERS’ last meeting with the old Wimbledon was in March 2001 and ended in a frustrating 2-2 draw which put a dent in the club’s automatic promotion chances. Sam Allardyce’s side had developed a frustrating inability to win at home – and this was the fifth in a run of seven games in which they failed to grab three points.
Bolton were continually pegged back on the day - Patrick Agyemang equalising after Robbie Elliott’s opener, then as Colin Hendry thought he had won the day, Kevin Cooper scored with one minute left on the clock to snatch a point.
Bolton’s winless run ended the following month as Dean Holdsworth scored the only goal against Norwich.

1946: On March 9, Wanderers will remember the 74th anniversary of the Burnden Disaster, a human crush which claimed the lives of 33 people and injured more than 500.
Despite the horrors, the match, an FA Cup sixth-round second-leg tie between Bolton and Stoke City, was allowed to continue, with the game ending goalless. The disaster brought about the Moelwyn Hughes report, which recommended more rigorous control of crowd sizes.
1963: Just a few days after they had been beaten by Sheffield United in the FA Cup semi-final Freddie Hill helped Bolton gain some revenge with a hat-trick in a 3-2 victory over the Blades in Division One.
1968: Youri Djorkaeff will turn 52 on March 9. The former France international and World Cup and European Championship winner played 75 league games for Bolton and scored 20 goals.
2017: Wanderers kicked-off a run of five successive victories en route to promotion with a 4-2 victory at Fleetwood.

THIS week’s mystery man is now in the dugout at French Ligue 2 club Chamois Niortais, where his son Bryan is also in the squad.
