As reported, Bolton Wanderers were saddened to learn of the passing of former player Arthur Marsh on the 31st of March 2020 aged 72 at his home in Bedfordshire.

Arthur was spotted by the Wanderers playing for his local youth club in Dudley and signed as an apprentice on leaving school.
He worked his way through the ranks and went on to make his debut away against Preston North End on the 25th February 1966 which resulted in a 3-1 victory, thanks to a Francis Lee hat trick.
Arthur played 79 first team games for Bolton, mainly occupying the full-back and centre back roles.
At the end of the 1970/71 seasonm he made the short journey to join Rochdale and on his retirement from football he joined the Bedfordshire police were he served until retirement.
Arthur had suffer from Alzheimers for a number of years but passed away peacefully.
He leaves his Bolton born wife Judith who he met were most couples did at the local Palais also daughters Joanne and Liza.
