Bonce, there is a novel that looks at the dilemma of being the last man/woman on earth, but in a much less whimsical way than the great Loudon Wainwright in the song you contribute above.
It's by Robert C O'Brien and called Z for Zacharia (the opposite of A for Adam). I think you'd enjoy it; it raises all sorts of interesting issues. A film of the book was made, but was disappointing, I felt.

Not much jazz on here these days, and Sonny Rollins is a hero of mine. You should also check out Rufus Harley. Who knew Bagpipes could be cool?

Jazz is the one genre i can't get into, too much noodling and warbling for me.

Also a big fan of Thelonious Monk, and my dad always tried to piss me off by insisting he played like Les Dawson.Norpig wrote:i was going to put a Jazz Club performance on my post
I wasn't taking that from a man who insisted on playing Peter Dawson records every free moment he got. They were 78's too. In his memory, here he is.

Going to see Turin Brakes tonight, they are playing the whole of their debut album The Optimist as it was released 20 years ago. Still one of my favourite albums so can't wait for this.
This one is my favourite on the album
