Jack Charlton RIP

Sorry to hear the sad news of his death, he was a great character and straight talker.

Been listening to so many great stories about him, and what came across was the genuine affection and respect that he engendered.

I used to hate that dirty Leeds team with him and Norman Hunter at the back and I hated it when the Irish beat England but he will always be a hero for '66 and always have my respect as quality CB and a decent and likeable bloke.

It wasn't Hunter and Charlton who were the dirty players.... it was the little short-arses, Giles and Bremner

Hunter and Charlton were dirty as fuck, Charlton was the guvnor of the elbow in the face.

Having said that about Jack he was the biz as was the whole side apart from Sprake iv'e studied them years ago when i was a kid. My favorite game is where Hunter gets twatted by Franny Lee still watch that.
