TBF "poverty" is a relative term in a global context, but what we define as poverty is set to become far more serious and widespread if we don't crawl back to the EU and beg to be reinstated as a member. Which will happen anyway eventually.

Irresponsiblility exists not poverty not in this country food is cheap money is available. So they go to a food bank collect free food then go home to their 75 " TV and Xboxes and get Just eat to deliver a giant pizza in the evening and a maccy d for the kids breakfast. If you want to see real poverty look up Angel Meadow Manchester slums that's fucking poverty.

Serious poverty is definitely on it's way. The leaked Government document on "Operation Yellowhammer" (preparation for Brexit) warns of food and medicine shortages, price rises, wage cutbacks, increased unemployment against a background of severe flooding, a potential "new" pandemic, an influenza crisis, unemployment and industrial action in early 2021. Bound to be some serious fallout for the poorest members of society even if only half of that happens.
