Looking like Trump has organised an attempt at a coup, it's been hanging around for a while now that a lot of Americans have touted civil war, well today could well be the start, and Trump should be jailed for Treason, a crime that could be punishable by death in the States.

Watched CNN for a couple of hours last night as it looked to be ending and the Police were pushing back the Trump supporters. They all looked happy and believe they are the patriots
Trump has blood on his hands but he will just blame others as usual. Even Mike Pence has turned against him now. There was talk of invoking the 25th Amendment to get Trump out of office now which seems like a great idea to me. Once he is out of office he should be charged with incitement.

At least 4 dead although 3 of them were due to medical conditions rather than being shot. I just think that if it was an African-American crowd they'd have gone in with gas and bullets without any hesitation.

If it had been an ANTIFA or BLM protest about Trump you can guarantee it would have been handled much more forcibly.

Trump should be removed from office now, rather than wait for formal handover on the 20th Jan when there could be more trouble. Impeachment would mean he could be tried for treason/incitement.
His instruction to the mob to "Take back the country" is surely suffiicient evidence of guilt.

Trump has now given in. He told his supporters ` please dont hate on Nancy Pelosi or do anything bad on your way home tonight ` No doubt he hopes that the old and forgetful Biden has a great couple of terms as US President and a long life.

I'd be surprised if Biden makes it to one term, he looked a bit doddery on telly yesterday and he is 78!

I think that was the plan all along. They needed someone like Biden to beat Trump and then hand over to Harris in a couple of years.

Interesting article on the BBC site about the various groups involved in the riot. I presume they will be getting a visit from the FBI in the very near future?

I assume the bloke in the Goat-Leggings was in the Hierarchy. Looks like none of them socially distanced during the attempted Coup.@Norpig wrote:Interesting article on the BBC site about the various groups involved in the riot. So basically, if you attempt a Political Coup in the USA and have thousands of revolutionaries storm the Capitol Buildings, you will get a facebook ban.

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Such language has created considerable debate regarding the Amendment's intended scope.@Norpig wrote:It will never happen KP, the gun lobby and the NRA over there are massive and it's in the constitution that they have the right to bear arms.
It only says the right belongs to the militia, not individuals. But you are right, the NRA owns the Republicans with their donations to their campaigns.

The fools showed their faces... and will be visited by the FBI in the upcoming days, weeks and months. They will be convicted by their stupidity. One Capitol policeman died today... and this will incentivize the need to find Trump's minions who committed this seditious act.@sunlight wrote:So basically, if you attempt a Political Coup in the USA and have thousands of revolutionaries storm the Capitol Buildings, you will get a facebook ban.
