WANDERERS (4-2-3-1).
MATT GILKS…6.
Could he have done more with Boyle’s header for the Cheltenham goal? Otherwise gave his normal running commentary to a solid-looking back line.
GETHIN JONES…6.5.
His regular combinations with Isgrove looked like Wanderers’ best chance to get a goal. Kept Freestone in check in a defensive sense too.
RICARDO SANTOS…7.5.
Looked composed again, brought the ball out of defence and sprayed accurate passes around the pitch. Defensively strong.
RYAN DELANEY…5.5.
Blotted his copybook with one big error to lose his marker Boyle, which led to Cheltenham’s goal. Shame, as he had a very solid game otherwise.
BEN JACKSON…6.5.
Got involved from start to finish, racking up more than 100 passes. Not everything came off but considering he has not been with the group long the youngster looked good.
KIERAN LEE…6.
Brought off at half time as a precautionary measure after a tough night at Exeter in midweek. Looks a class act but we have to appreciate he has not played in months.
ANTONI SARCEVIC…6.
Had a really strong first half and was at the heart of everything Wanderers were doing, going forwards. Lost his way after the break a bit.
LLOYD ISGROVE…8.
Cheltenham struggled to live with him in the first half. Seemed to drift to the opposite wing after the break – which limited his usefulness somewhat – but finished strong.
GEORGE THOMASON…6.5.
Some lovely touches which show the young midfielder is really starting to find his groove at senior level. Deserved his recall.
ZACK ELBOUZEDI…6.
Gave the attack a nice bit of balance. Like Jackson, still feeling his way in, but a few nice exchanges which suggest he could be a useful addition.
EOIN DOYLE…6.
Got his goal and worked hard for it. But the Irishman knows he should have been heading back down the tunnel at half time with the match-ball.
Subs: Tutte 5.5, 45 (for Lee) – Midfield felt a little slower after the break.
Gnahoua 6.5, 62 (for Elbouzedi) – Once again made an impact from the bench.
Brockbank 6, 63 (for Jones) – Worked hard down the right.
Crawford 5.5, 67 (for Thomason) – Struggled to get involved.
Not used: Delfouneso, Mascoll, Baptiste.
Cheltenham (3-5-2): Griffiths; Raglan, Tozer, Boyle; Blair, Azaz, Thomas, Chapman, Freestone; Williams, May.
Subs: Long 83 (for Freestone), Lloyd 83 (for Williams), Addai 90 (for May).
Not used: Bowry, Clements, Campbell, Harris.
Referee: Andy Haines 7/10.
