On another thread we reminded ourselves of how bad it can get it - relegation to the bottom flight, getting beaten by teams you wouldn't wipe your arse on, being the laughing stock of Lancashire - we've been there.
I was reminded of how we put up with that shite. We used to laugh at ourselves - it really used to cheer us up!
Can't remember exactly when "Wanky Wanderers" came about but it was born out of that spirit.
So seeing as not everything is going to plan, instead of getting increasingly wound up and getting laughed at for it, I think it's time for some self-deprecating humour on the terraces (well, seats) We need more chants that we can sing (win, lose or draw) that tell the story of how crap we are.
As an opening gambit:
Tune: Camptown Races
We're are so much shitter than you
Do-dah, Do-dah
We're going down to Division 2
Oh Do-dah Day
We are shit all night
We are shit all day
Bet your money we're going down
Oh Do-dah day.
Surely we can do better than that?
