I used to like Muamba with his nice runs and shots into row Z, but he has now come out with a statement saying he is "devastated" at Coyles sacking. So he is devastated that the man who got us relegated and then went on to ensure we are in the bottom half of the championship is out of job ? He must be a fucking Wigan, Bury or Dingle fan. On another note I found it interesting that Super John resigned from his job in the USa on sunday evening. I know it's a coincidence according to him, but he was a better player than Coyle so could he be a better manager aswell ?

If im honest, I think his statement may have been taken out of context.
I am also 'devastated' in a way...
I'm not 'happy' hes been sacked, I know he HAD to be - there was no option, but i would have liked it IF it would have worked out for him.
sadly it didn't and he was fired, as is how it works...

The 24-year-old, forced to retire recently after a cardiac arrest in March, told Sky Sports: "I was devastated to hear he was going but I'm sure the club will bring in somebody to get the club promoted.
"We need to get promoted. If you look at the start of the season the guys have not been playing well.
"It hasn't been up to the standard you expect with the players we've got.
"Football is a results game. You get paid and if you don't play well then you're out of the team. For players it is the same as a manager.
"You stay in the job as long as the boys are performing for the team. I can understand where the club was coming from."
If you look at the full statement i think it's clear he was "devastated" for him as a man, obviously fairly close considering the support Coyle gave him.
everything he says after is also completely factual and well put. Sad that people always leap to the negative on these PR exercises.

Since he announced he's releasing a book cashing in on his near-death experience I don't read or care about anything he says.

The Sun report on Coyle being sacked is just surreal:
OWEN COYLE was sacked by Bolton yesterday – less than seven months after steering the club through the Fabrice Muamba ordeal.
Coyle won widespread praise for his handling of the situation after Muamba suffered a heart attack and collapsed in a cup match at Spurs in March.
But that counted for nothing as Bolton opted for a heartless knee-jerk reaction after they had slumped to 18th in the Championship with a 2-1 defeat at Millwall.
What Muamba collapsing has to do with Coyle being useless is beyond me.

The sun is run by tossers and the person who wrote that obviously hasn't seen one iota of football from us in the last 18 months.
Heartless? What fucking idiot.

It is just a bad report, they know very little about the clubs outside the top 6 so they come up with slap dash articles like this one.

His sacking was ANYTHING BUT a heartless knee jerk reaction. Perhaps the Bolton fans should take a leaf out of Liverpool fans book and boycott the Sun.
