Like you Norpig, can’t get there tonight but I will have iFollow to see if we’ve improved at all. Can’t see it and neither can I see us getting anything off a very good Wycombe side under a manager who knows how to attack.

It's a difficult watch tonight. Losing 2 nil ATM but we've played some good stuff only to concede sloppy goals. That said we haven't created clear cut chances either - and Wycombe have bullied us a bit and are playing for time - very professional job.
Charles was good and so was Baka tonight but now we have to negotiate the last 20 minutes without further mistakes AND create chances we haven't been able to so far.

Currently down to 18th just 3 points above the relegation zone and Wimbledon who are below us have 2 games in hand.
We play some good stuff but we're susceptible at the back and impotent at the pointy end - although Charles looks decent.
It needs to come together soon.

Again lots of possession but nothing to show for it. Dixon is a liability now and we need a new keeper, he just isn't good enough and should have saved the shot for the first goal then poor distribution for the second.

We are deep in the relegation mix now!

Seriously Lusty, you think Baka was good tonight? I must have watched a different game to you because I thought he was just as awful as always and Charles to be fair is nowhere near match fit so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt but when oh when will we learn how to get the ball to a White shirt in the box? There’s just no composure at all and until we learn how to take a set piece we’ll continue to struggle. We’re in a relegation fight now, no question.

Give Wycombe some credit - they did a solid professional job on us tonight.

We played well in patches, but something is missing - at this point it's hard to put your finger on what's wrong.
Maybe try two up front and a change of system to provide service at a faster pace.

I'd bench Dapo for a game or two.  I know it's blasphemy and some will say he is our only decent attacker, but I say he slows the play down - will not cross when its needed - instead try to dribble past the three defenders - greedy and shooting like he is Beckham - while others are in a better position for a pass - I could go on.

Let the abuse begin.

Pushed out on the wing he was one of the few who had the physicality to fight for the ball and did as good a job defensively as any of them - apart from Aimson who cleaned up a lot. Didn't get much chance to offer anything offensively.
Real problem - apart from making gaffes to concede - is the inability to crack defences - and I agree with TA that Dapo is one of the biggest culprits for slowing down the attack.

Relegation battle for sure and with an improving Ipswich followed by Sunderland coming up I'm struggling to see where our next win will come from if it doesn't get sorted out soon.

Dapo has been poor but we don't have anyone to replace him, Kachunga is hit and miss and Amaechi has hardly played.

We need to cut out the soft goals, they are killing us. As i said before Dixon is not up to the job and we need a new keeper. Santos is looking poor as well and we just can't defend

It seems that IE is intent on playing "attractive possession football" and TBF there are moments and there are some players who are tidy on the ball but it means nothing if we don't move the ball quicker, have better movement, take more risks up front, get more shots off - and dwell on the ball at the back.
He can shuffle the matchday line up until the cow's come home but ultimately, individual errors aside, it's the system rather than the players that is the problem IMO.

This style of play has been worked out. Teams just sit back allowing us possession in areas that aren't dangerous just patiently waiting for the chance to break or pounce on errors and they can afford to do that whilst we remain impotent up front.

What a load of shite. Again.

Ok for 20 minutes, but normality quickly returned and we looked incapable of crossing the halfway line without passing backwards. How many more games like this before the manager realises this system no longer works for us?

Wycombe bullied us just like every team over the last few weeks. We are soft, with no fighting spirit whatsoever. Go a goal down and we all know it's game over. Once again we missed having a Karl Henry type midfielder, someone to get stuck in and start a bit of shithousery. But no doubt Evans will go out and find another lightweight 5' midfielder to play tippy-tappy.

This is a poor team recruited by the manager, why Shazza continues to let him bring more players to the club baffles me.

I see things a little differently.
People are saying we are poor at the moment, and I would agree. But I only think we are poor now that WE HAVE changed the system to suit the cry babies who said it wasn't working before.

I maintain that whilst we were not always getting the result  a few matches ago, we were dazzling to watch and only a few bits of bad luck (hitting post, losing to deflected goals, getting multiple injuries) from having many more points.
I think that we have gone down hill since we started playing far more long ball, keeping less possession and trying to get forward quicker, and keep it tighter at the back. Can you not see that change that has taken place for about 4 or more matches now?

Easy examples. At kick off, early in the season, we would make 5, 10, 15 passes, even going back to the keeper before the other team would even have a chance of trying to get the ball. Now, every kick off is 2 passes followed by a long ball.
Defensively, our full backs should never, ever simply clear the ball or kick out for a throw. Safety first was not in our vocabulary. We would play out, and again, even passing between the defenders and the keeper. Now, when under pressure, we generally clear it.
Keeper now takes long goal kicks and drop kicks.
We take less quick free kicks.
We cross free kicks long into the box, even if its back near half way, this never happened before.
We cross earlier when down the wing, with less intricate play. Unfortunately this change coincides with our worst run of results.
