Personally, I'm not really bothered. I actually think most sensible jocks know which side their bread is buttered on and are unlikely to be swayed by Salmond and his Nationalist rhetoric.

Scottish M.P.'s sit in the House of Commons and get to vote on English issues. Free NHS prescriptions and University fees north of the border and still he fcuking moans.

A nation of less than five and a half million people breaking away from a nation of sixty million seems a risky business to me.

If the jocks want out then they are welcome to vote for it.

Voting yes, but it will never, ever go through.

Why would you vote yes if you don't think it will happen ?

Happy to see them get their independence provided they stop expecting us to pay for all their benefits.

However I suspect that they will not vote yes.

There's not a chance of a yes vote. Although I live and work in Bolton I was born north of the border and have a holiday house there - where I go for some time most months. Much of the stuff we see is simply emotional nonsense. It's all Braveheart stuff- all the nationalist claptrap about a proud independent nation. However the hard economic facts are that Scots are dependent on England (and in particular London ) for paying the bills. The famed oil revenues will run out within 15 years- and there will be nothing left to generate income. The voters there are not stupid - they know who pays the bills.

When they look at the yes/no voting slip- they'll vote no by a large majoority

Scotland is a great place to visit. The scenery is fantastic but I have always found the locals unfriendly.

I spent the day in Glasgow and it really wasn't any different from England.

I never voted for the union to be formed in the first place - neither have any of my families reecent generations, and yet these Scots want to rip it apart without consulting me or getting my vote, yet again. I don't know whats worse the UK or the EU!!!! ;-)

Both unions are the same..... take take and take (although with the EU I have a much more work-life balance thanks to the maximum 48 hours working week! Very Happy ) And I didn't partake in a vote for either!

Technicaaly a lot of the oil can be landed in Norway. It only lasts for another 15 years and then its gone. Then out will come e begging bowl. There'll be nothing to stop a mass invasion of England to pick up benefits like the rest of our EU brothers and sisters
