See the league table for second half of the season a few posts down...

From the time we started to turn things around and our January transfers were done we have

Won 12
Drawn 5
Lost 2

From 19 matches.

If we can match that kind of form and bolster our squad we're bound to win the league by this time next year and we would finish on 99 points.

Is it too soon to predict that?

How much does it hinge on making the right signings this summer? I think a keeper and a defender are our big targets. And Fossey of course.

I don't think this squad is strong enough to be promoted next season.I think the biggest weakness is that there isn't a promotion winning central defence  there.Too many goals are conceded many of them soft ones from set pieces. The three 1-1 draws last week also suggest there just isn't enough fire power to beat the better teams

We also need a few tweaks with the system. As we all know it's too slow moving the ball. Along with zero threat from corners and set pieces. Fossey back and two or three others plus all injured players back. Surely that's enough for top six at least. In theory of course.

I think we have the basis of a good system and a fairly dece t set of players who have bought into the system.

Although, I'm not sure what's happened to Dapo but he really looks like he can't be arsed, he's too greedy, gives the ball away too often, and shys out of too many challenges.

His dip in form, plus the loss of Fossey has affected our goal threat badly.

I think Dion had a golden start but now just seems to do a lot of fast running about with his arms flailing. Having said that, he missed a sitter, hit the woodwork and had a goal disallowed. Had those 3 gone in nobody would be questioning our firepower, at least from him.

I wonder what sort of transfer fee we could get for Dapo?

Not enough Cajun, at least not yet. He’s still learning and what position is his best? I don’t think he’s ready for a higher level yet, too inconsistent and next year he really has to dig in and make a regular position his own. Maybe that’s Evatt’s fault, keep moving him around, left wing, striker, No 10? Until he settles in a position regularly I think we’ll keep seeing in and out performances from him.
