There have been plenty of positives from Wanderers’ first season back in League One, but which names have played the most minutes?

Joel Dixon (2,640 mins)

Was a regular starter during the first half of the campaign after fighting off competition from Matt Gilks.

However, the former Barrow man hasn’t featured since January following James Trafford’s arrival on loan from Manchester City.

Gethin Jones (2,501 mins)

Makes the list despite spending several months on the sidelines after suffering a stress fracture in his fibula in training.

Has played in a variety of roles on the right of defence this season and was a big miss during his time out of the team.

Ricardo Santos (3,817 mins)

An important figure at the heart of defence, it is comes as no surprise to see the defender rank so highly.

Wanderers have had to adapt in recent weeks after losing their skipper to a hamstring injury suffered in the 1-1 draw with Portsmouth.

George Johnston (3,848 mins)

Goes under the radar at times but has played more minutes than any other Wanderers player this season.

Has thrived since Evatt opted to change to a back three earlier this year and is making good progress as he continues his development.

Will Aimson (2,193 mins)

Had a frustrating start to his Bolton career due to injury but has had plenty of game time in recent months.

Has stepped up in recent weeks following Santos’ injury and is comfortable playing in both a back three and back four.

Declan John (3,576 mins)

Had an injury setback early in the season but has generally been a constant in Evatt’s side since joining the Whites on a permanent deal over the summer.

Another player who has gone from strength-to-strength since the change to a back three, making the most of his extra freedom to get forward.

MJ Williams (3,741 mins)

Another name you would expect to see included in the list, Williams plays an important defensive role in Wanderers’ system.

Evatt has tended to rotate his midfield options more frequently in recent months following the arrivals of Aaron Morley and Kyle Dempsey.

Kieran Lee (1,976 mins)

Often played in a deeper role during the early stages of the campaign but has been used in the number 10 role in recent months.

Hasn’t featured since February after having surgery to treat a bone spur on his heel but was in good form prior to the injury.

Dapo Afolayan (3,839 mins)

Arguably Wanderers’ star performer this season, leading the way on 14 goals in all competitions (one more than Amadou Bakayoko).

Shone on the left wing during the first half of the season but has had to adjust to a more central role since the Whites’ change in system.

Elias Kachunga (2,163 mins)

Another player who seems to go under the radar at times but has had plenty of game time since making the move to Bolton.

The forward missed pre-season so it was understandable that Evatt eased him into the side gradually in the early stages of the campaign.

Eoin Doyle (2,074 mins)

Makes the list despite leaving the UniBol to join Irish club St Patrick’s Athletic during the January window.

Scored eight goals in 28 games during the first half of the campaign despite also missing parts of pre-season.

Notable omissions

It is worth nothing James Trafford (1,890), Morley (1,732) and Dion Charles (1,711) narrowly miss out despite joining the club in January.

Meanwhile, Xavier Amaechi has managed just 380 minutes all season after suffering a couple of untimely injuries following his loan move from Hamburg.

Can you ask them to work it out again as a percentage, accounting only for the games where they have actually been available for selection?
