The dates and venues for Wanderers’ Papa John’s Trophy group stage matches have been confirmed.
The Whites have been drawn against Crewe Alexandra, Tranmere Rovers and Leeds Under-21s in Group B.
Ian Evatt’s men will begin with a home fixture against Crewe on Tuesday, August 30 (KO 7pm).
Wanderers then head to Tranmere on Tuesday, September 20 (KO 7pm) before hosting Leeds on Tuesday, October 18 (KO 7pm) - although the latter is subject to change.
Crewe finished bottom of League One last season, while Tranmere placed ninth in League Two and narrowly missed out on a place in the play-offs.
Meanwhile, Leeds’ youngsters finished bottom of Group B on goal difference last season after picking up three points from their three matches.
The Whites reached the last 16 in last year’s competition after recording wins against Port Vale, Rochdale and Liverpool Under-21s.
However, they missed out on a place in the quarter-final after suffering a 1-0 defeat at Hartlepool, with Matty Daly getting the decisive goal six minutes from time.
Meanwhile, Wanderers' upcoming Carabao Cup clash with Salford City at the UniBol has been confirmed for Tuesday, August 9 (KO 7:45pm).
