Conor Bradley has the potential to go far in the game, says Ian Evatt 14327015

Wanderers boss Ian Evatt has praised Conor Bradley’s “relentless” work ethic and says the youngster has “huge” potential.

The 19-year-old made his competitive debut against Ipswich at the weekend after joining on a season-long loan from Liverpool.

Despite his youth, Bradley has already made several first-team appearances for the Reds and even featured in a Champions League fixture against AC Milan last season.

He has also earned eight caps for Northern Ireland since making his international debut against Malta last summer.

The wing-back is clearly used to big occasions, so it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that he was not fazed by the 25,000 home fans making plenty of noise at Portman Road.

Bradley’s performance was one of the main positives for the Whites, doing some important defensive work when Wanderers were under pressure and also getting forward at times.

Evatt says the youngster is constantly trying to learn and reckons spending time at the UniBol will have a big impact on his development.

“It’s going to be huge for him and I just think he’s got huge potential, but he has to realise that potential and this will do him the world of good,” he told The Bolton News.

“He’s a brilliant kid, wants to learn and is a sponge. He wants to take in knowledge all of the time.

“His attitude and work ethic is relentless really and he will give himself the best opportunity to have the best career possible.

“I think he is going to really blossom here and that is a great start for him with a point away from home at Ipswich.”
