Sharon Brittan's message to Wanderers fans after season ticket sales confirmed 14350326

Wanderers have sold a total of 13,326 season tickets for the 2022/23 League One campaign, the club has confirmed.

The total represents an increase of more than 25 per cent compared to the figures for last season.

It is the most season tickets the Whites have sold in a single campaign since the Premier League days.

More than 17,000 supporters were in attendance at the weekend as Ian Evatt’s men recorded an emphatic 3-0 win against last season’s play-off finalists Wycombe Wanderers.

Season tickets were available at a reduced rate during the Early Bird period in an attempt to make live football more accessible for the local community.

“When we launched the campaign back in February, our goal was to make our season tickets more accessible to more supporters at the best prices possible,” read a statement from chairman Sharon Brittan and the board.

“This outstanding show of support is appreciated by everyone at the club, especially Ian and his players.

“For them, knowing they’ll be walking out onto the pitch at the University of Bolton Stadium with thousands and thousands of you there to cheer them on each week means so much.

“And we all felt the power of that support on Saturday. The atmosphere and the noise was amazing! It’s a tangible feeling that we are all on this journey together.

“Thank you again for choosing to be part of it. We look forward to seeing you throughout the season ahead.”

Wanderers also attracted bumper crowds for the ‘Family Day’ matches against Rotherham United and Accrington Stanley last season.
