Here’s a great view looking along Deansgate in Bolton in 1966.

Do any Looking Back readers remember Podmore’s on the left which proudly boasted stocking 'everything for the garden and allotment’?

Further down the road you can see John Collier’s occupying the corner position at the junction with Knowsley Street with fellow gents’ outfitters Alexandre opposite. Gregg’s and McDonald’s are now located on that corner
