Tempers had flared on the touchline after celebrations – led by Elias Kachunga – had seemingly antagonised the Burton coach and his staff.
And it is a safe bet those scenes will get a mention in the build-up to kick off, as the Brewers look for three points to stave off any lingering threat of relegation to League Two.
Wanderers have few positive memories at Burton. Their home win earlier this season was their first in eight meetings, and they have taken one point from three visits to the Derbyshire town.
Buried under three goals in seven minutes at the Pirelli last season, Evatt does not expect his opponents to deviate from those same set piece strengths which continue to keep them fighting above their financial weight at this level of football.
“There’s being braced for it – and then there’s stopping it!” he shrugged.
“They’ll utilise all those strengths, that’s their prerogative, but we need to concentrate on our own performance and what that looks like.
“Yes, we will have adapt that we normally do but in this scenario it might suits us, a smaller, tighter pitch. We have one or two players out of position at the moment and we don’t necessarily want huge spaces to defend one-versus-one, so theoretically it could work to our advantage.
“We just have to make sure when we do come under pressure we stand up to it.
“We have been resilient away from home just recently and we will definitely have to be so at Burton.”
Wanderers have proved a tougher nut to crack away from home this season, letting themselves down on only one occasion, admits the manager.
“Portsmouth away - for me that was a really pivotal night because it was the one time this season where I felt we lacked resilience when we came under pressure,” he said. “And that is a big word away from home, probably the most important one away from home.
“We’re not Manchester City, we won’t go away from home and dominate every game. We are going to have to weather storms and ride periods out, and we’re finding a way to do that. The players should take great credit for doing that.”
